Blackberry has failed to release BBM to the millions of eager Android phone users waiting for the release of the chatting app on the platform. The Blackberry Messenger app was scheduled to be released on Android and iPhone today, but it is still only available for iOS devices.
Blackberry seems to be aware of the problem and the anxious waiting of the Android camp and have posted a tweet promising to rectify the problem(whatever it is) soon. “Thanks for your patience Android users!” says BlackBerry. “Working hard to get you the real BBM ASAP. We’ll let you know when it’s live.”
I believe that they are maybe fine tuning some final bugs in the Android app before making it available to the general public or they maybe trying to remove all the rogue apps that have suddenly sprouted up in the Android Google Play Store masquerading as the official BBM app.
I will keep you posted immediately the app becomes available for Android phones. I cant wait to install BBM on my Tecno Phantom A+. Meanwhile, iPhone users can install the BBM app from iTunes.
