I know many love love your iPhones and are ready to do virtually anything to defend its honour against the hordes of bitter Android fanbase. But if you believe that you nondescript iPhone is not okay for your taste and you need a better iOS device to show off and brag to your friends and colleagues with, then Apple has finally answered your prayers. According to a report by AllThingsD via its sources, Apple is creating a gold iPhone that you iFans can finally use to lord it over us mere mortals in the Android universe.
Apple is adding a new color to the iPhone color palette and, yes, it is indeed gold.
Sources in a position to know tell AllThingsD that Apple, after years of offering the iPhone in either black and white, will soon offer it in a gold tone, as
well. Apple-news site iMore was first to break the news last Friday, its story corroborated in short order by TechCrunch on Sunday, along with 9to5Mac.
The new color option was described to AllThingsD as an “elegant” gold tone. “Think champagne, not ingot,” a source said, confirming what seems to be
some spot-on speculation from iMore last week.
Sources said that the gold iPhone will feature a white face, with a gold-tone back plate and chamfered edging.
Who’s up for a gold iPhone? Unless it is going to feature a better and much more open iOS, better pricing structure, you can count me out. My Android device is capable of taking care of my mobile computing needs.
